Goals
The Bhaktivedanta Archives is dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of the teachings and personal life of Srila Prabhupada.

Details
The Bhaktivedanta Archives began in 1978. Starting with original reel-to-reel tapes from the Golden Avatar studios and other sources, it collected Srila Prabhupada's recorded lectures and conversations-two thousand hours worth. These lectures are now all available in cassette, CD, and other digital formats.

In the early 1980's devotees transcribed the tapes and filmed the transcriptions on microfiche. They also made fiches of Srila Prabhupada's letters. These materials have been compiled into a series of books as well as the Bhaktivedanta VedaBASE, a comprehensive CD collection of Srila Prabhupada's books, lectures, conversations and letters, as well as other supplementary materials such as songbooks, biographies, and cookbooks.

The Bhaktivedanta Archives has also been responsible for recovering audio and visual recordings of Srila Prabhupada as well as ensuring all materials are kept safe for future generations.
