Brief details of centre
The Krishna House has been a part of Columbus since 1969, although
it has changed locations within the city a few times. Currently
the temple is located in the midst of the OSU campus.
Formerly, the Columbus Krishna House was recognized as ISKCON's
only "Mataji Mandir", meaning it was an ashram for female
devotees only. However, we now have the fortunate addition of male
devotees to the ashram. This addition to our growing group of congregational
members has enhanced the preaching capacities and enthused our congregational
supporters.
Deities
Sri Sri Radha Natabara
Sri Sri Jagannatha-Baladeva-Subadhra

Each Sunday we dress all the Deities in the temple for the week.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see the Deities when They are
first dressed and decorated and when the garlands and flowers are
fresh. There is also a very special feeling at first darshan in
the morning.
Please join us each Sunday morning for this special event, starting
at approximately 9.15am. After darshan and arati, a light prasadam
breakfast is served. This is a great way to start the week
off right.
Other Information:
You are always welcome at the Krishna House! We have two evening
programmes every week (Thursday and Sunday), a Wednesday lunch,
and a daily darshan schedule. For details of other events such as
Sanga meetings please check website.
How to get there
The ISKCON Krishna House is located on the south side of the Ohio
State University campus, two blocks west of Neil Avenue, across
from the OSU hospital parking garage. There is parking available
on the street in front of the temple.
From the north:
Take 315 South to the Kinnear Rd/Olentangy River Road exit. Turn
left at the end of the exit ramp onto Kinnear Road, which becomes
Olentangy River Road immediately. Just after the Lennox shopping
center at the traffic light, turn left onto King Avenue and cross
the river. After the first traffic light on King Avenue, turn left
onto Perry Street. Turn right onto West 8th Avenue. Temple is a
block and a half down 8th Avenue on the right.
From the east:
There is construction that has shut down I-670. We are working on
getting better directions exiting from 71, but for now these directions
will work: Take I-70 west through downtown. Exit on 315 north. Take
the Goodale St/Grandview Heights exit. At the end of the exit ramp,
turn left onto Goodale. At the next traffic light, turn left onto
Neil Avenue. Go straight under the overpass and you will go into
a residential area. At the fifth traffic light, turn left onto King
Avenue. Just past the first traffic light on King, take a right
onto Perry Street. Turn right onto West 8th Avenue. Temple is a
block and a half down 8th Avenue on the right.
From the west:
Take I-70 east towards Columbus. Take the Grandview Avenue Exit
(will exit to the left). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right
onto Grandview Avenue. Take Grandview until it dead-ends onto King
Avenue. Turn right onto King. Follow King Avenue until it crosses
the river (just past the traffic light at Olentangy River Road).
After the next traffic light, turn left onto Perry Street. Turn
right onto West 8th Avenue. Temple is a block and a half down 8th
Avenue on the right.
From the south:
Take I-71 North towards Columbus. Near downtown, Route I-71 will
branch off to the right — do NOT go there and do NOT exit
onto Route I-70. Instead, go straight and follow the signs for Route
315 North towards Worthington. From 315, take the Goodale St/Grandview
Heights exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Goodale.
At the next traffic light, turn left onto Neil Avenue. Go straight
under the overpass and you will go into a residential area. At the
fifth traffic light, turn left onto King Avenue. Just past the first
traffic light on King, take a right onto Perry Street. Turn right
onto West 8th Avenue. Temple is a block and a half down 8th Avenue
on the right.
